How To Use Mobile Interval Training Timer

MITT (Mobile Interval Training Timer) is an application which allows you to do repetitions of high-speed/intensity work followed by periods of rest or low activity. You can configure work length, warning time, rest length and some other features (colors, sounds, etc.). Once you’ve set up your workout you can save it and then switch quickly between saved workouts.

You may find MITT very useful for:

  • boxing/martial arts
  • tabata intervals
  • circuit training
  • stretching
  • weightlifting
  • running/sprinting
  • cardio/aerobic training
  • yoga

MITT consists of 5 screens:

Main screen

Interval training is a method of physical training in which periods of activity
are interspersed with periods of active recovery. Look at default MITT main screen:

main window
In main window you can set:

  • Startup delay – delay between when the “Go!” button is pressed and the actual round starts. Useful to get yourself in position for the first round.
  • Workout time – time for doing high intensity work.
  • Rest time – time for taking rest or doing low intensity work.
  • Max rounds – number of workout/rest repeats.
  • Workout warn – time to play warn sound before high intensity work finish.
  • Rest warn – time to play warn sound before rest (or low intensity work) finish.

Every edit can be switched off by setting it to a zero value. For example you can repeat your workout as much as you can if you set Max rounds switched off.

Navigation

There are several ways to modify values in the main window:

  • by typing numbers with your phone buttons.
  • using 5-way navigation buttons: UP – increase value, DOWN – decrease value, LEFT/RIGHT – navigation.
  • If your phone is touchscreen phone then you will see
    the following MITT main screen.

Hi! I downloaded you program to try in my nokia E71. It is very good but one single issue upsets me. The program doesn’t make any sound, just vibration, flash, etc.

    Thank you
